Disclaimer
A chart from this site is a starting point. Check it against real beads before you buy in quantity.
The bead catalogue is placeholder data
This is the most important thing on this page. PicToBead currently ships a
development sample catalogue of synthetic colours, not a real
manufacturer’s range. That is why legends read Colour A with a
hex value rather than a product number, and why exported bead lists carry no
SKUs. Nothing on this site should be read as telling you which bead to order.
No product number shown by this site is a real product number, because it does
not show any.
Colour is approximate
Colour matching is done in CIELAB using CIEDE2000, which is about as close to how the eye judges colour difference as arithmetic gets — but it is still arithmetic. Your monitor is not calibrated to ours. Beads are glossy, matte, lined, silver-lined or transparent, and finish changes how a colour reads far more than a small shift in hue does. Dye and glass lots vary between batches of the same product. Order a sample before committing to a large piece.
Sizes and counts are estimates
Finished measurements assume a nominal bead size and perfectly even tension. Real weaving is neither. Bead counts are exact for the chart as drawn, but they do not include the beads you will cull for being misshapen, which in seed beading is never none. Buy a margin.
No affiliation
PicToBead is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Miyuki, Toho and other seed bead manufacturers. Those names appear only to describe what the tool makes patterns for, which is ordinary descriptive use.
Your own work
You are responsible for having the right to use any image you convert. Turning someone else’s photograph or artwork into a bead pattern does not make it yours, and selling the result may infringe their rights.
